Legal terms

Terms of Service

These terms govern purchases and use of ValidMail for both business and consumer customers.

Last updated: March 28, 2026

Scope and eligibility

ValidMail provides email validation tools through wallet-based credits for B2B and B2C customers.

You must use the service lawfully and only with data you are authorized to process.

Pricing, VAT and billing details

Displayed package prices are base amounts. VAT and other applicable taxes are determined at checkout based on billing details and legal tax status.

EU business customers who provide a valid VAT ID may qualify for reverse charge where legally applicable.

  • Checkout requires billing country information.
  • If provided, VAT IDs are validated before payment finalization.
  • Final tax treatment is shown in the payment flow and transaction records.

Credits and refunds

Purchased credits are not refundable in cash once acquired, except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.

Unknown validation outcomes are automatically refunded as credits to your wallet according to platform rules.

  • Credits do not expire unless stated otherwise in writing.
  • Unknown refunds are credit adjustments, not cash reimbursements.
  • Full transaction history is available in billing.

Consumer withdrawal rights for digital services

Where you qualify as a consumer, mandatory withdrawal rights under applicable law remain in force.

For digital service execution that starts immediately after purchase, you expressly request performance to begin and acknowledge that withdrawal rights may be reduced or lost once performance starts, to the extent allowed by law.

Acceptable use and suspension

Abusive traffic, unauthorized access attempts, malware delivery, unlawful campaigns, or misuse of personal data are strictly prohibited.

We may suspend or terminate access where required to protect platform security, legal compliance, or service continuity.

Data protection and privacy

Personal data processing is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of this agreement.

A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available on request for eligible business customers.

Liability and warranty limits

The service is provided on a commercially reasonable basis. We continuously improve result quality but cannot guarantee certainty in every SMTP environment.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to amounts paid for the affected service period.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Portuguese law.

The competent court is the court of Porto, without prejudice to mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules.

Consumer dispute resolution (Portugal)

Consumer customers in Portugal may use Alternative Dispute Resolution (RAL) entities when legally applicable.

Information about competent consumer dispute entities is available through the Portuguese consumer authority channels.
